Lockheed Martin Wins MH-60 Software Contract

The U.S. Naval Air Systems Command has awarded a $39.4-million contract to Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training to support a series of software programs for the Sikorsky MH-60R/S and SH-60B through September 2015. The agreement includes flight test, management, process and technical support services associated with the MH-60/SH60 operational software, vendor software, maintenance and laboratory support software.

The majority of the work (85 percent) will take place in Owego, N.Y., with 12 percent at Patuxent River, Md. and the remaining three percent split between facilities in Bath, Maine and Pascagoula, Miss. According to the Department of Defense, Lockheed Martin will receive around $814,000 in Navy operations and maintenance funding for fiscal year 2013.
