Russian Helicopters has received the type certificate for the Ansat light helicopter with hydro-mechanical controls from the Aviation Register of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC). The approval allows the Kazan-produced Ansat to enter commercial operation.

Officials from IAC and the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry handed over the certificate during an August 28 ceremony at the International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS 2013). Russian Helicopters subsidiary Kazan started working on the certification effort for the hydro-mechanical version of the helicopter in 2011.
