The Philadelphia office of the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) has issued an $8.8-million contract to Thales Communication to repair six items in the airborne low frequency sonar system for the Sikorsky H-60. Thales Communication’s location in Brest, France will carry out more than half the work, with U.S. facilities in Clarksburg, Md. (28 percent) and Johnstown, Pa. (18 percent) handling the rest. The agreement runs through November 2015, with $6.6 million allotted in FY 2014 Navy working capital funds.
