FlightSafety International has promoted Patrick Coulter to director of business dev-elopment and commercial training. Coulter joined the company in 1998 as a ground school and simulator instructor at FlightSafety’s Learning Center. Before working for FlightSafety, Coulter was a commercial pilot and flight instructor. He holds an ATP certificate with single and multi-engine ratings.

Columbia Helicopters has appointed Kees Blekxtoon as a senior advisor to the company. Blekxtoon will support marketing efforts in the Netherlands and India. Blekxtoon previously served as president of Boeing in Northern and Western Europe and as president of Stork/Fokker International. Currently, Blekxtoon serves as senior aerospace industry advisor to Tata TCS Group of India and is also a member of the International Advisory Board for the Netherlands Royal TenCate.

Dart Aerospace recently appointed Peter Olep as vice president of programs and engineering. Olep will be responsible for managing product development activities at Dart. He holds a Master of Science in Technical Management and a Master of Science in systems engineering and is certified in advanced project management.

Paul Watts is the new general manager of Bell Helicopter’s Lafayette aircraft assembly facility. The facility is the home of the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X program. Watts will be responsible for day-to-day operations and strategic growth plans.

Spectrum Aeromed has added three new engineers to support the growth of the company. Jerick Hedges, Craig Hedstrom and Ryan Rensink are recent graduates of North Dakota State University (NDSU), with Hedges (left) and Rensink having participated in the company’s internship program. Hedstrom completed a mechanical engineering internship at Douglas Machine in Alexandria, Minn.

Columbia Helicopters has named Mike Brunner vice president of supply chain and manufacturing. Brunner has a background in supply chain, manufacturing, military aircraft maintenance, leadership and international business.

John Briscoe has been appointed senior vice president and CFO of Bristow Group. Briscoe comes from Weatherford International, where he held the same position. He has also served as a senior executive at Transocean and in senior financial positions with Ferrellgas and Dresser Industries.
