Bell Brings Safety Symposium to Prague After Success in Brazil

Bell Helicopter will stage a safety symposium in Prague, Czech Republic on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. This follows on from a similar symposium that it held during August at the Sao Paulo World Trade Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil that attracted more than 100 attendees.

The safety symposium series, introduced in 2013, is aimed at educating pilots and maintainers on key safety practices. It is linked to the International Helicopter Safety Team’s (IHST) mission to form links with countries that have significant helicopter operations.

The Prague event will be staged at Bell Helicopter’s European Customization and Delivery Center.

In July, CEO John Garrison announced that the Czech Republic had been selected to be Bell Helicopter’s regional customization, delivery and aftermarket service center. As part of Bell’s investment the facility’s name was changed from Aviation Services, a.s. to Bell Helicopter. Plans for the site include expanding the facilities for customization and to position it as a regional training center.

In May this year, the company sold its first Bell 407 GX to a Czech customer, King’s Casino. Said King’s Casino President Leon Tsoukernik. “I have flown Bell helicopters in the past, and the exceptional performance and service in Europe have made me a loyal customer.”

King’s Casino offers a variety of casino games and is home to Europe’s largest poker room. It will use the Bell 407GX for VIP and corporate charters.
