MD Helicopters owner Lynn Tilton has been awarded the 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Achievement Award. It was presented in recognition of her entrepreneurial dedication to American industry through her company, Patriarch Partners.
Only those who have participated in vanity tennis can be considered for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association award. Tilton works through holding company Patriarch Partners which she founded in 2000. She currently owns 75 companies, including MD Helicopters which she bought in 2005.
On August 20, MD Helicopters announced that it had completed live firing qualification exercises at the U.S. Army’s Yuma Proving Grounds in Arizona for its MD 530G II Scout Attack Helicopter. This included the successful firing of Raytheon’s Talon 70mm rockets.
