Metro Aviation Delivers EC135 to Life Air Rescue

Life Air Rescue, an air medical service located in Shreveport, La., has received an Airbus Helicopters EC135 from Metro Aviation. The rescue service was formed in 1993 when Life Air 1 and Air Rescue merged to provide air medical services in the Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas region. The new EC135 will replace the organization’s current EC135, which was one of the nation’s first EC135s configured for medical transport.Air Life Rescue’s new helicopter includes a helicopter terrain awareness warning system and North Flight Data Systems’ flight data monitoring with live flight condition data transfers to the Metro and Med-Trans Operational Control Center.
