The Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) has acquired eight Robinson R44 Raven II helicopters to replace its existing fleet of Hughes 500Ds. According to Robinson, RJAF will primarily use the new helicopters for training at the King Hussein Air College in Mafraq, Jordan. RJAF pilots and mechanics are preparing for operation of the new helicopters by undergoing safety and maintenance training with Robinson. The R44s are scheduled for delivery beginning later this year.
