La Jolla, Calif.-based global voice and data service provider Blue Sky Network is bringing the fleet tracking and communications capabilities of its web-based portal, SkyRouter, to mobile phones and tablets. The company has introduced the new SkyRouter Mobile App for iOS devices, allowing iPhone and iPad users to view, track and communicate with Blue Sky equipped aircraft.

Some of the features included on the new app are the ability to view custom layered maps and overlays, flight plans and to receive push notifications if an asset goes into "QPOS mode," according to Blue Sky Network.

The new SkyRouter Mobile App is currently available to download in the iOS app store.
