Dean Ashton has been selected by Bell Helicopter as its Customer Service Engineer to serve as a direct link between the Textron subsidiary and its growing customer base in China. The selection was announced by Bell at Airshow China in Zhuhai. Ashton has experience working as an aircraft maintenance engineer in Canada, and previously served as a vice general manager at Chongqing General Aviation Co., while studying in China in 2011.
The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology graduate was introduced to Bell’s Chinese customers during the company’s Maintainers and Operators (M&O) conference held in Zhuhai on Monday.
“The demand for qualified pilots and mechanics continues to grow in China,” said Ray Lamas, general manager, global customer training for the Bell Helicopter Training Academy (BTA). “Bell Helicopter is working to meet that demand and to bring training directly to our Chinese customers.”
