The DGT’s fleet of 12 helicopters, used for surveillance, traffic regulation, and highway patrols throughout Spanish territory, operate mainly from the authority’s Madrid headquarters. The DGT currently operates one of the largest fleets of AS355 NP Ecureuils in the world. The National Police Force now has a total of 14 EC135s that are used for surveillance and other missions.
