Airbus Helicopters will deliver an H145 to China’s Guangzhou Police, according to an agreement signed today. The purchase will add to a list of more than 100 of the company’s rotorcraft sold to Chinese customers in the past few weeks. This will be China’s first H145 and the first law enforcement helicopter used by the Guangzhou Police. It will be equipped with a searchlight, external hoist, rappelling ropes, tactical radio, cargo sling, Bambi Bucket and stretcher. Airbus was responsible for a large number of helicopters sold at the third China Helicopter Exposition held Sept. 9 to 13 in Tianjin. The company secured one order for 100 Ecureuil-series helicopters from CM International Financial Leasing Corp. and a second order for seven H130s from MIT Group’s air ambulance arm, HEMS999. The company also appointed Beijing Capital Helicopter, subsidiary of Hainan Airlines Group, as an Airbus service center.
