Lockheed Martin Looks to Close Sikorsky Buy This Week

Lockheed Martin anticipates closing its acquisition of Sikorsky Aircraft on Nov. 6, the company said after reporting receipt of “the final regulatory approval” of the deal from China. The U.S., the European Union and five other jurisdictions already have OK’d the $9 billion purchase from United Technologies. “Sikorsky brings a legacy of innovation and performance that perfectly complements Lockheed Martin’s portfolio,” said Marillyn Hewson, Lockheed Martin’s chairman, president and CEO. “We are excited to soon welcome the men and women of Sikorsky to our team.”
