Next week’s business aviation trade show in Las Vegas will include two seminars on unmanned aircraft systems and a special exhibit section on drones. The show, held Nov. 17 to 19, is hosted by the National Business Aviation Assn., which is a member of the U.S. Transportation Dept. task force aiming to address drone registration issues by Nov. 20. One seminar will address the state of “detect and avoid” technology for small drones, and another will discuss the business opportunities those aircraft may present for corporate flight departments, including contract work to perform inspections of cell phone towers, industrial flare stack and wind turbines. Small drones also will be a topic covered in NBAA’s Careers in Business Aviation Day at the show on Nov. 19.
