The Professional Aviation Maintenance Assn. is seeking board of director and regional director nominees in an effort to revitalize itself. The nomination deadline is Dec. 15. According to the Alexandria, Virginia-based organization, it has worked for more than 45 years to promote professionalism and recognition of the aviation maintenance technician in the U.S. Candidates for the seven board positions and eight regional directorships must hold an FAA airframe or powerplant mechanic or repairman certificate, be a Federal Communications Commission-certified avionics technician or hold comparable military or foreign certificates or licenses. They must be (or have been) actively involved with PAMA at the chapter, regional or national level. Each candidate must be nominated by another current PAMA member; self-nominating is not allowed. The nomination form is available here.
