Press reports say a U.S. Army Boeing CH-47D modified to carry the Helicopter Icing Spray System and an RC-12G Huron test-monitoring aircraft have been operating from Sawyer International Airport in Gwinn, Michigan, near Lake Superior on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Airport officials told the Associated Press the Army aircraft are supporting tests of a Korea Aerospace Industries helicopter. Those tests have been underway for about three months.
