By Staff Writer | February 18, 2016

Silverstone Helicopters, a joint venture between Sloane Helicopters and Fresh Air, has been awarded a contract by Silverstone Circuits to provide aviation services at the Northamptonshire race circuit.

In addition to general aviation support at the circuit, Silverstone Helicopters will be providing a full range of flight training, pleasure flying and charter operations throughout 2016 and beyond from its headquarters at the circuit.

Silverstone Helicopters will draw on the vast experiences and capabilities of Sloane and Fresh Air. Sloane is the U.K. and Ireland distributor for Finmeccanica and Robinson Helicopter rotorcraft and has active flight operations, engineering and flight training departments. Its head office is at Sywell Aerodrome, Northampton, with engineering bases at Enniskillen and RAF Northolt.

Fresh Air, the other major partner in Silverstone Helicopters, is based in Oxford and offers bespoke helicopter charter and helicopter management services for both private and business customers.

Silverstone will commence operations from Silverstone Circuit Feb. 18.
