Lease Corp. International (LCI) has delivered the first of four new AW139s to Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service in Australia. It will arrive at the nonprofit aeromedical and search and rescue services provider’s main base in Newcastle, New South Wales, in June. The first helicopters will enter service in early 2017 and will operate under NSW Ambulance. According to LCI Executive Chairman Crispin Maunder, LCI will lease ten AW139s for aeromedical operations in Australia by the end of this year.
