EHang Inc. will begin flight testing, training and development of a passenger-carrying drone with the Nevada Institute for Autonomous Systems and the Governor's Office of Economic Development, according to a company press release.
The technology company introduced the EHang 184 Autonomous Aerial Vehicle in January at the Consumer Electronics Show. It will conduct testing at Nevada's FAA UAS test site starting later this year.
The single-seat electric drone is designed to transport passengers over short-to-medium distances. The project's goal is to gain government approval to commercially fly the aircraft.
