Coptersafety Training Center to Expand in Helsinki

By Amy Kluber | July 29, 2016

Coptersafety is planning an expansion of its helicopter flight training services. The company said this week it has ordered five new full-flight simulators and will also construct a new flight training center around Helsinki Airport, Finland, next to an existing Coptersafety facility.

Textron's TRU Simulation + Training will deliver EASA/FAA-certified Level D full-flight simulators for Airbus Helicopters H125 and H145, and Leonardo-Finmeccanica AW169 and AW189 models. The company said the fifth simulator will be decided in response to market conditions.

Installation of the simulators will begin with the H145 version late next year and be ready for training by late 2018.
