Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) has added one more to its network of mobile repair teams as British Columbia's Heli-One joins the group, according to a company news release. Heli-One has extensive experience with P&WC engines, specifically the PT6T and PT6C-67.
As a maintenance, repair and overhaul company, Heli-One supports 13 rotorcraft from Leonardo, Airbus Helicopters, Bell Helicopter and Sikorsky. All P&WC repair teams are capable of providing services including emergency troubleshooting; engine condition survey; clutch, boroscope and hot section inspection; accessory changes; engine rigging assistance; c-box repairs and replacements; engine removal and installation; and power section repair.
The PT6C and PT6T engines can both power medium-class helicopters. The PT6C can also power new-generation rotorcraft, like tiltrotors, while the PT6T has seen some 40 years of service. MRTs can service these engines, or provide any other P&WC MRT service, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
