Soloy Aviation Solutions is tapping Airwork NZ in New Zealand to sell and support its AS350 conversion kit.

Olympia, Wash.-based Soloy signed an agreement in March with Airwork, which will sell the kits in the Australia/New Zealand region and support operators who choose the Honeywell LTS101 to power their Eurocopter AS350s.

Airwork has inspected and supported those engines as well as the AS350 fleet operating in Australia and New Zealand for years. Based at Ardmore Airfield in Auckland, Airwork is an approved Honeywell maintenance center and has bases throughout New Zealand and Australia.

Soloy’s AS350SD2 conversion kit replaces the aircraft’s original Turbomeca Arriel 1D1 powerplant with the LTS101-700D-2 turboshaft to improve operating costs, reduce maintenance costs, and improve performance.
