Indian Military Wants More Reliable Dhruvs

Indian defense officials are pushing Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. to improve the reliability and spares support of its Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopters, according to the Indian Web site    domain-b.com.  It reported that while military officials want to acquire more of the domestically made helicopters, the aircraft are “a long way” from meeting the target of being ready to fly missions 70-80 percent of the time. About 70 Dhruvs have been inducted into the defense forces so far,      domain-b said, with most going to Army aviation. For related news
