Speeders in Spain will now have to watch for speed cameras in the sky. According to theNewspaper.com, the Spanish government has placed a Wescam MX15 forward-looking infrared camera on a helicopter that takes close-up pictures of the car’s license plate while an airborne radar system generates a speed estimate. Officials claim the radar is accurate from a height of 1000 ft. and one kilometer (.6 mi). Spanish officials claim it is the first country in Europe to use the system to catch speeders.
