Two Swedish national guard helicopters collided in midair during routine maneuvers yesterday. Each Eurocopter BO105-CB3 carried a pilot and navigator. All four were killed. Afterwards, the head of the Swedish air force, Maj. Gen Jan Andersson, was quoted by Radio Sweden as saying the service has had problems in training helicopter pilots. Cutbacks in flying time have been cited by critics as the reason for an increase in fatal crashes over the past few years. For related news
