The Philippines is scrapping a 1.2 billion peso ($29 million) contract for six night-attack MD530Fs, citing irregularities in the bidding process, according to the Reuters news service. The contract with Asian Aerospace Corp., a local partner of Boeing subsidiary McDonnell Douglas Helicopters, will be re-bid. Poland's state-owned PZL-Swidnik S.A. bid in the last round with a version of the Mi-2 Plus, as did AgustaWestland with the A129 Mangusta. For related news
