UAV Advances Reported in China, Sweden

Today brings news of rotorcraft unmanned aerial vehicle development in China and Sweden. People's Daily Online reports that He Xiang Aviation Technology Co., Ltd.'s  WD100 helicopter drone completed an automatic landing on Jan. 27, marking China's move toward the ranks of the most advanced UAV nations in the world. Halfway around the world, Sweden's CybAero demonstrated its APID 55 to the public during a Jan. 8 event at Gärdet, which the company describes as an ancient military training ground turned park in Stockholm. The United Arab Emirates’ has ordered seven APID 55 systems for its armed forces, primarily for border surveillance. For related news
