Sikorsky Aircraft officials are committed to exhibiting their X2 technology demonstrator at Heli-Expo in Houston at the end of this month. The X2 development team is striving to hit its current goal of a first flight of the coaxial, fly-by-wire helicopter by March 31, a date that has slipped several times. But Sikorsky leaders decided it was worth interrupting the development work to show the rotorcraft world the progress they have made with the aircraft. Though the X2 has yet to run with its ultra-rigid main-rotor blades, the flight-article blades will be mated to the aircraft at the show's exhibit, company officials said. For related news
