Eurocopter reports collecting "intentions to buy" for 111 orders for its new EC175 from 13 different customers and 120 bookings for the rest of its product line during the three days of Heli-Expo 2008 in Houston earlier this week. The manufacturer said the bookings for the 7-9-ton, 16-passenger EC175 confirms "the huge demand for such a helicopter," which is targeted to fight AgustaWestland's AW139 for offshore,  executive/VIP, air taxi, and utility sales. Among its orderers were major Bond Helicopters of the United Kingdom; Bristow Group, Era Helicopters, and Halvorson Group of the United States; Denmark's Dancopter; India's Global Vectra; Heli-Union of France; HNZ of New Zealand; Belgium's NHV; Mexico's Pegaso, and Russia's UTair.
