Hellenic Aerospace Industry has won a 7 million euro contract from AgustaWestland to manufacture 52 composite rear-ramp door assemblies for the NH90.

Vought Aircraft Industries is to make cabin structures for UH-60L, M and MH-60S variants of the Black Hawk under a $600 million, five-year contract with Sikorsky Aircraft. The contract is Vought’s second with Sikorsky.

Pilot Shop Co. of South Korea has awarded REB Technologies a contract to modify a Eurocopter AS350B3 for night-vision operations. The modified helicopter will be operated by a branch of South Korea’s Fire Aviation Corps. The contract calls for an in-country modification this month. Bedford, Texas-based REBTECH anticipates additional aircraft mods through 2008 and 2009.


DRS Technologies has received a $23 million order from the U.S. Army’s Aviation and Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Ala. to provide engineering support, field service support, and general depot repairs for the Mast-Mounted Sights on Bell Helicopter OH-58 Kiowa Warriors. DRS also will provide post-production, engineering assistance, and depot support for obsolescence mitigation. The work will be done by the company’s DRS Sensors & Targeting Systems-Optronics Division in Melbourne and Palm Bay, Fla.

General Dynamics European Land Systems’ Santa Barbara Sistemas operations in Spain has signed a $64 million contract with the Spanish army to supply Air Land (ER) Spike Missile Systems for its Eurocopter HAD Tiger helicopters. The contract calls for the manufacture of 200 missiles and 44 launchers. In addition, General Dynamics Santa Barbara Sistemas will provide integrated logistics support. The work is expected to be completed by 2012. General Dynamics Santa Barbara Sistemas, the prime contractor, has an agreement with the Israeli company RAFAEL for the manufacture of the systems. In 2006, the two companies signed a contract for the supply of Spike Missiles to Spanish army ground forces.
