Bell ARH Flight Tests Progress

Three prototypes of the U.S. Army/Bell Helicopter ARH-70A have accumulated more than 1,300 hr of flight test time. Bob Kenney, Bell's executive vice president of government programs, said the ARH contractor team has completed about 51 percent of the system design and development work on that armed reconnaissance helicopter. A fifth prototype is in final assembly at Bell's facility at Alliance Airport, north of Fort Worth, Texas. The sixth and final test aircraft is being completed at Bell Canada in Mirabel, Quebec.
