Eurocopter Names New Training Services Head

Eurocopter in June named Hervé Berriet to head its training unit.

A helicopter pilot in the French army’s aviation branch for 21 years, Berriet takes over as chief executive officer of Eurocopter Training Services. After his military service, he worked as an aircrew instructor for Eurocopter in Marignane, France, then later as an instructor manager. Prior to his promotion, he had served as maintenance training director of Eurocopter Training Services.

Berriet said he wants to preserve Eurocopter Training Services’ capacity to be an innovative leader and to "be recognized for its training excellence by ensuring flight and maintenance safety, reinforcing training offers, identifying evolutions in market needs and to keep satisfying our customers."

Eurocopter Training Services says it offers "the most comprehensive, most coherent and highest standard helicopter training in the world" for pilots and technicians on Eurocopter civilian or military aircraft. Its training center is located adjacent to Marseille-Provence International Airport in France.
