Saudi Arabia Seeks Apaches

The Middle East kingdom wants to buy 12 Boeing AH-64D Longbows plus associated equipment and services, according to a notice to Congress from the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The transaction could be worth as much as $598 million. The deal would include 30 T700-GE-701D engines, 12 Lockheed Martin Modernized Targeting Acquisition and Designation Systems/Pilot Night Vision Sensors, fire-control radars, Hellfire Longbow missile launchers, infrared and radar jammers and countermeasures.
