M7 Aerospace and San Antonio Aircraft Support (SAAS) will combine their resources to provide custom corporate interior work or avionics upgrades for helicopters. “The new venture will fall under M7’s roof,” said an M7 spokesman, “it will be an M7 Venture with SAAS.” The interior modifications center will be located at San Antonio International Airport (SAT) and will also perform work on fixed-wing aircraft. SAAS will design and fabricate the interior furnishings in their 16,000-sq-ft facility, and M7’s 426,000-sq-ft facility, located on the grounds of the airport, will be used for aircraft completions. M7 is currently working on the Sikorsky line of aircraft and is also certified for Erickson. The venture is already pursuing two contracts and will try to gain military work that includes Bell 212s and 214s. For related news
