The relationship between the German government and EADS has turned sour as Luftwaffe officials level accusations against the European aircraft contractor of failing to meet delivery obligations. The Luftwaffe says the Tiger attack helicopter program was delivered late and the NH90 tactical transport helicopter did not meet certain operational capabilities when delivered. EADS, the parent company of Eurocopter, will pay the 6 percent penalty for the delay with the Tiger, but Eurocopter denies any breach of contract in the NH90 matter, saying the German government accepted the aircraft upon delivery, which implies its satisfaction with the product.
