Prince Harry, son of Prince Charles of Wales and the late Princess Diana, has been accepted as a British Army Air Corps helicopter aviator trainee. Having passed weeks of evaluation and testing, the 24-year old lieutenant with ground combat experience in Afghanistan will begin a 30-month basic and advanced rotorcraft flight course in January 2009. Upon completion of training he will join the ranks of older brother Prince William, currently an Army Air Corps Chinook pilot, and will most likely be assigned to fly an Apache, Lynx or Gazelle helicopter.
