Japan to Purchase Eurocopters for Navy

Although Eurocopter’s products are in service with commercial operations throughout country, an expected order for as many as 15 EC135 helicopters will represent the first time the government of Japan has purchased any aircraft of the brand. The number of helicopters to be ordered and the monetary value of the contract have yet be publicize, but the country has expressed an intention to use the aircraft as training aircraft for the Navy.
