The National Transportation Safety Board’s hearing into the alarming number of emergency medical service helicopter accidents will commence on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 9:00 A.M. (Eastern). The Board will listen to testimony from industry experts, operators and pilots through Feb. 6 at its offices in Washington, D.C.  The National EMS Pilots Association, which was invited by the NTSB to participate in the public hearings, will share the results of a paper it prepared indicating that pilot fatigue is a major factor in EMS fatalities.
