Commuter Helicopters Go Green

Helijet International Inc., of Richmond, BC, Canada, will offset their carbon points for flights between Vancouver, Victoria and Richmond. The company won't charge its passengers, the bulk of whom work for the BC government, anything extra either. Helijet will set aside $1.37 from each ticket sold to pay the Pacific Carbon Trust to offset the CO2. The investment is estimated at $100,000 a year to offset 8,818 pounds of helicopter produced greenhouse-gas emissions. For related news
