According to Canada’s Canwest News Service, Hibernia Management and Development Corp. has decided to resume helicopter flights to and from its offshore platforms in the Atlantic Ocean after the March 12 crash of an S-92 that killed 14 of its workers and injured one other 40 miles off the coast of Newfoundland. The two pilots flying the aircraft operated by Cougar Helicopters of St. Johns were also killed. Hibernia will hold town meetings to allow workers and their families to discuss any lingering uncertainties they may have about flying aboard helicopters. Workers have been ferried on boats since the crash. For additional information
