IAF Helos Conclude W. Bengal Relief Ops

After providing five days of helicopter operations in West Bengal, the Indian Air Force concluded its relief activities following the devastation caused by cyclone Aila.  The two Mi-17 helicopters were brought in from the Eastern Air Command on May 26 and were relieved of duty on June 1 after flying 50 hours and completing 36 sorties, which included hauling food, medical supplies and water to areas that were cutoff from the mainland.
