Kaman Aerospace of Bloomfield, Conn. announced that it made its first appearance on the Forbes list of the 400 Best Big Companies. Kaman, while not being a leader in sales of its own K-Max and Super Seasprite helicopter lines, made the list based upon its strong global presence in the aerospace industry as a manufacturer of components used aboard virtually every airplane and helicopter flying today. For the helicopter industry, they build rotor blades, control mechanisms and a variety of subsystems for other helicopter manufacturers under their in-house HeliWorX division.
