A new helicopter service designed to ferry people into the Bhaderwah Valley of India has begun operations, according to the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department. The intention is to encourage tourism in the region, especially for nature enthusiasts, skiers and honeymooning couples.  Helicopters were deemed to be an attractive option, considering the valley is surrounded by high mountains and heavy forests. In 2008, approximately 430,000 tourists were said to have visited the area. For related information
