A delegation from Turkey has arrived in Russia to carry out further discussions on purchasing a fleet of Mi-28 “Havoc” attack helicopters. The Turkish military, which originally wanted U.S.-made Cobra attack helicopters but were told that none were available, hopes to get at least 12 of the Russian-made aircraft as a stopgap measure in their ongoing battle against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party. Turkey is also interested in purchasing unmanned aerial vehicles for in-theater operations. See an Mi-28
