Pilot Dies in Quebec Helicopter Crash

A helicopter went down on Thursday in the North Shore region of Quebec, Canada, killing the pilot and injuring two passengers. Police said that the helicopter crashed at around 2:00 p.m. into a sandbar in the middle of the Franquelin River, and are looking into the possibility that it struck a power line, according to media reports. Two female passengers, age 30 and 35, were seriously hurt in the incident. The pilot was identified as a 58-year-old man from Pointe-Lebel.
