Black Hawks Top Million Mark in Wars

U.S. Army Sikorsky Black Hawks have gone over the one-million-flight-hour mark in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, according to the manufacturer. The Army uses more than 350 Black Hawks in the two wars, tracing back to February 2003. Throughout that time, the helicopters have performed at an 84 percent mission-capable readiness rate under high temperatures with wind and sand, according to Sikorsky.
