|Eurocopter delivered another AS350B3 to the Phoenix Police Air Support Unit on Oct. 22.
American Eurocopter handed over an EC135 and an EC145 to Charleston, W.V.-based HealthNet Aeromedical Services on November 6. The EMS-configured helicopters, set to enter service in March 2010, will include dual-pilot IFR and night vision goggle (NVG) capabilities, helicopter terrain awareness warning system (HTAWS) and wire strike kit. Eurocopter has also received an order from STAT MedEvac of West Mifflin, Pa. STAT MedEvac purchased its 16th EC135 as part of a converting an existing option. The helicopter, which will feature IFR capability, NVGs, TCAS, weather radar and enhanced ground proximity warning system (EGPWS), is scheduled for delivery in 2010.
In addition, Eurocopter delivered another AS350B3 to the Phoenix Police Air Support Unit in late October. It becomes the fourth AS350 in the Phoenix PD fleet, which responds to public safety, SAR and firefighting needs in an area of more than 500 square miles.
