The U.S. Navy has granted a $14.75-million contract to Lockheed Martin to install equipment that will allow MH-60R helicopters to send data through a Ku-band tactical datalink. The MH-60R is an anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare helicopter that will receive a high-definition ship air upgrade interface—SAU 07000—allowing voice, video, radar and acoustic sensor data to be sent via Ku-band.
