BC Ambulance Service has expanded its contract with Helijet International of Richmond, Canada for two additional helicopters covering the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. From January to March 2010, one Sikorsky S-76 will be stationed near the athlete’s village in Whistler and a second at Cypress Mountain in northern Vancouver, close to the events. The contract adds to an existing agreement between the two companies for EMS services in southwestern British Columbia.
