Van Horn Obtains Bell 206L STC

FAA has modified a Van Horn Aviation supplemental type certificate (STC) allowing installation of its composite tail rotor blade on the Bell 206L. The change adds the 206L to an existing STC that Van Horn received in September 2009. The Tempe, Ariz.-based company claims the blades have double the life expectancy versus the OEM equivalent.
